Airline Lounge Sign
This
tutorial was written in PSP 9 but I didn't use anything that
can't be found in earlier versions! This tutorial also assumes
you are familiar with PSP and where to find things!
Please
don't claim my tutorial as your own or script them or sell them.
If you'd like to share, please send as a link. Thank you!
For
this tutorial you will need:
a clock - I made my own if you'd like HERE
a plane - good ones HERE
Bottoms Up! font - HERE
(go to Dingbats page "B")
That
should do you, so let's begin!
1. open
a new transparent image 300 x 400
2. with your selection tool, draw out a rectangle leaving space
at the top for an ellipse - flood fill black
3. new raster layer - draw out an ellipse - flood fill black -
selection none - center your ellipse at the top - here's mine:

4. merge visible
5. select all - selection float - modify - contract 6 - flood fill white
- leave selected!

6. modify - contract 3 - flood fill with a color of your
choosing - deselect - add inner bevel - my settings are below

7. new raster layer - open clock - edit copy - edit paste as new selection - position
in the center of your top ellipse

8. open your airplane tube & place on a new layer - resize, rotate, flip or mirror as needed & add
a drop shadow
9. new raster layer - add Airline Lounge text & place near
the top- mine is Bank Gothic - stroke width 1 - stroke black - fill
white - size 20 - add a drop shadow

10. for the martini glass open the font Bottoms Up - create as vector - stroke
width 1 - black foreground - metallic gradient that comes with
PSP for the background - type letter "a" - resize & rotate as
desired - add a drop shadow.
11. preset shape- star - use the same colors as the martini glass - create as vector -
make sure retain style is NOT checked - line width 1 - draw out
a small star - duplicate star twice and arrange - add a drop shadow
12. open a font for the "Cocktails" text, I used
Altast Greeting - create as vector - use the same color palette settings
as before & type out "cocktails" - rotate to match
the angle in your martini glass and position below the glass -
add a drop shadow

13. for your name - choose a font of your liking - create as vector -
I typed each letter separately and positioned it after each letter on
the same layer - then convert to raster - select all - selection float and
use a text effect of your choosing like Blade Pro, Eye Candy or Inner Bevel
- add a drop shadow
14. save in GIF Optimizer & you're done!
I
hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Some other ideas would be a
Bikers Lounge, a Race Car Lounge, a Sports Lounge etc. There are
lots of different ways you can do this! If you did something
other than the Airline Lounge, I would love to display it to
show others what else can be made. Please email your tag to me
with your name and a url if you would like it linked!
